Может поможет, а может и нет...
Вы уверены, что проблема в материнской плате, а не в
кабеле/диске?
Какая, кстати мать? Чипсетов у VIA много, проблемы же
обычно встречаются у таких изготовителей, как
LuckyStar, Zida/tomato и т.п.

да, абсолютно точно, проблема в матери и не лечится.
здесь это уже обсуждалось, а идея насчет дополнительного
ide контроллера пришла в голову совсем недавно...
