В последнее время я занимаюсь этим же делом дома. По мере освобождения
места на здоровенном ntfs-разделе откусываю от него куски и присоединяю к
home.
Делаю это с помощью GParted LiveCD http://gparted-livecd.tuxfamily.org/
Один раз почему-то пришлось Lilo восстанавливать. А один раз у раздела
свопа сменился UUID и я это заметил, только когда дочка нечала усиленно
жаловаться на тормоза и подвисания системы.
