Повторяюсь:
Купил я себе модем Acorp Sprinter@ADSL USB на
чипсете Conexant - и пока на Линуксе никак не
могу его победить 8-) . Перерыл кучу манов,
лекций, статей ......
Вот до чего я дошел:
1. Драйвер.
Начиная с последних версий ядра 2,6,13 и
далее в ядре в виде модуля имеются
драйвера для таких модемов. Для ядра
более ранних версий нужно драйвер
устанавливать самому.
2. Прошивка
После загрузки драйвера, в модем (как я
понимаю - самим же драйвером)
загружается прошивка. Различные версии
прошивки есть в интернете, но в моем
случае все просто - оригинальная
прошивка была на сервере производителя.
3. Мост - br2864
С какой-то версии ядра этот мост тоже
является модулем ядра. Его подгружаю -
без проблем.
4. Создание виртуального интерфейса -
модуль br2864ctl
Тоже без проблем - создаю командой с
параметрами (VPI, VCI) интерфейс.
5. Само подключение
Вот тут то и проблема - все маны
описывают подключение по PPPOE с именем и
паролем через adsl-start. Мой провайдер же
дает все статические адреса (айпи/маска,
шлюз, днс) мне в договоре - и никаких
логинов и паролей. Как это связать
вместе???? Помогите, плиз ....
