Совсем чайниковый вопрос.
Я скачал

Что значит src.rpm? :)
И ещё один такой же вопрос:
Если я пересоберу ядро без модуля звуковухи (ess1868) и работает
kudzu, заработает ли звук? (ну новичок я). И получается ядро можно
собирать с минимальным набором модулей?
Кстати, насчёт проблем с винтом.
Все эти непонятности в partition check начались только в 2.4.18-м
ядре. В Debian 2.2 (2.2.17 ядро) все работало на ура.
Может дело все-таки в ядре
