пробую, например setfx. получаю:
/dev/sequencer not found
По поводу kmidi. Нашел в google:
Kmidi "Can't open Output Device"
Cause: aRts server not running.
Fix:
KDE->Configuration->KDE Control Center->Sound->Sound System
Check "Start aRts sound server on KDE startup".
Apply change. Exit.
Logout, Log back in.
так и поступил. Теперь kmidi сообщил о том что не найдено ни одного
инструмента и стал проигрывать файл... в полной тишине.
