Здравствуйте!
проблема с настройкой внутреннего модема (Motorola ISA 28.8 INT на
Mandrake 2001 RE)решена:
1. в BIOS выставил "PNP OS no"
2. джамперами на модеме: PNP disabled,COM3,IRQ4
3. при загрузке ttyS2 сразу проявился (irq4 как и выбрал)
модем работает ок
(удивительно но факт - в рядом стоящей вынь98,на том же компе,модем с
уже не PNP настройками тоже заработал)

направление! 8)
