Нехарактерное поведение. Сколько раз обновлял что ни попадя - сотни,
тысячи? Ничего похожего даже близко. Как бы не проблема накопителя.
Попав в такую ситуацию для начала снял бы накопитель, подключил к
другой, заведомо исправной, системе и пощупал посредством chkfs. И, при
малейшем подозрении - ещё и whdd.
