Чтобы не городить тележку микропакетов, давным-давно
был отпилен в сторону monit-base, содержащий _только_
/etc/monitrc.d/ (см. %changelog 4.4-alt2 и #10559).
Задумка изначально была такой, чтоб monit-base
по аналогии с emacs-base и подобными оказался минимальной
платой за возможность складывания конфигурационных файлов
от различных пакетов к заданному, а пригождались они уже
при установке целевого пакета (в данном разе monit).
Кстати, всё так же есть желание доработать поддержку monit
в наших пакетах и серверных образах на sysvinit до конфетки,
сам-то на серверах его держу практически обязательно.
