Приветствую.
Не знаю, стоит ли заводить баг, но описать тут, думаю, стоит. p7-sysv-tde
продолжительное время жил у меня с kernel-image-led-ws-3.4.96-alt0.M70P.1.
Вчера обновился до std-def-3.14.36-alt1 и получил небольшую проблему. При
загрузке, в какой-то момент, plymouth пытается стелать Deactivating splash,
но у него это не выходит: plymouth: Deactivating splash failed
С ядром led-ws было то же самое, но это не мешало, однако с std-def, в момент
этой операции, портится изображение xorg. Вернуть в нормальное состояние можно
переключением в текстовую консоль и обратно. На всякий случай проверил более
старое std-def - 3.10.34, ситуация с ним без изменений.
В общем-то, на самом деле, я просто plymouth сразу не удалил случайно - не
обратил внимания, что он поставился: по-прежнему присутствует

Что касается бага с видео:
