Не все, кто ставит десктоп, знают, что крон не обеспечивает обработку
заданий, если время исполнения наступает тогда, когда компьютер отключен.
А вероятность того, что десктоп ночью не работает, довольно значительна.
Соответственно, вот это вот может выполняться или крайне редко, или не
выполняться вовсе:
02 4 * * * root run-parts /etc/cron.daily
22 4 * * 0 root run-parts /etc/cron.weekly
42 4 1 * * root run-parts /etc/cron.monthly
