Приветствую.
Дошло дело до обновления до p7, получилась проблема с mariadb:
# apt-get dist-upgrade
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Calculating Upgrade... Failed
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
mariadb-client: Conflicts: MySQL-client
mariadb-common: Conflicts: MySQL-server
mariadb-server: Conflicts: MySQL-server
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.
Никто не сталкивался ? Или все успели обновиться до того, как
(ломающее ?) обновление mariadb приехало p7 ? :-)

Я сегодня обновил два сервера до р7 но у меня нет там mariadb...
(Команде спс за продукт и инструкцию по переходу. :) )
Только со squid вышла накладка по конфигурации. Пришлось пока вернуть
к минимальной чтоб запустить его по быстрому. Теперь буду смотреть что
новому сквиду жмет в старом конфиге...

Да и у меня нет. Есть MySQL-server и MySQL-client. Видимо, mariadb вытягивается
вместо MySQL из-за смены зависимостей у akonadi, но это предположение пока, не
разбирался сам ещё. В принципе-то можно MySQL пока снести...

У меня так же ругалось. Я перед обновлением его снёс, а после - поставил
обратно.

Попытка выноса MySQL-client и MySQL-server приводит к выносу
akonadi-1.7.2-alt0.M60P.1 и akonadi-database3-1.7.2-alt0.M60P.1
Вроде бы, ничего существенного больше не страдает. А, да, у меня
TDE стоит, а не KDE4, от KDE4 стоит совсем чуть-чуть, а akonadi,
видимо, дотягивался из-за KMail из KDE4, который я снёс в конце
концов. Ладно, пока разбираться не буду, просто снесу. Отложу до
момента обновления бука с KDesktop 6. Вот на нём KDE4 в полный
рост... Боюсь, там и systemd потянется...

Ну так если пользователь не хочет следовать советам, которые уже дали,
то тут никакие технологии не помогут. akonadi теперь прибит к mariadb.
Так что если нужен akonadi, придется использовать MariaDB вместо MySQL.
Перед обновлением проще всего удалить MySQL, обновится, потом доставить
вылетевшие части kde4.

Так нет никаких проблем. Это вам нужно определиться нужен ли вам
практически не поддерживаемый у нас MySQL или akonadi.
