привет!
обновил машину с t6 до t7, включая ядро, при перезагрузке получаю
приветствие GRUB, потом file not found и приглашение
grub rescue>
как это дело лечить?

Из grub rescue никого лечить не надо, это недоразумение.
Гораздо эффективней сразу ориентироваться на нормальный
ремонтный образ.

Ну, при необходимости и из него можно загрузиться, если под рукой
ничего нет. Как-никак одно из преимуществ grub перед lilo ;)

Вот именно по опыту такого канатохождения и советую не питать
иллюзий и сразу запасать нормальный rescue image.
