мне кажется - это загрузчик,
ибо в моем случае,
свежий альт на новой железке - не ставился ни в какую,
но убунта - легко
старый альт (кентавр 5 и 6) - загрузчик загрузился, лайв СД работал.
венда установилась, что и говорить
мать - свежая мать с Атомом на борту (это был ПОС терминал)
