Для работы с дисками >3Tb в ОС без поддержки GPT компании Asus и Gigabyte
создали свои кривоподелки, да еще и несовместимые друг с другом. Причем
утилита от Asus работает только с их материнками.
Суть принципа -- разбивается первые ~2Tb диска, в конце остается хвост. Из
этого хвоста создается "виртуальный" диск, с которым можно работать.
Проблема -- мне нужно прочитать результат работы этого поделия под Linux.
Что я сделал -- очевидно, что этот раздел реально находится где-то в
свободном пространстве. Я попытался просканировать это свободное
пространство с помощью gpart, потом создать с помощью losetup -o <offset>
тот самый "виртуальный" диск, и смонтировать его.
Но то, что я нашел с помощью gpart смонтировать таким образом не удалось.
Куда копать дальше?
