В Android с большой вероятностью работает код *#*#4636#*#* (набирать
только в стандартном телефонном приложении; срабатывает без нажатия
кнопки вызова). Для включения только 3G нужно в пункте "Информация о
телефоне" выбрать предпочтительный тип сети "WCDMA only". Настройка
сохраняется до первого использования обычного переключателя "Только
сети 2G" (он включает режимы "GSM only" и "WCDMA preferred").

Единственное неудобство - как правило, при таком подключении нет
возможности работать с SMS и USSD. Причём подписать на какую-нибудь
гадость теперь могут и просто при переходе по ссылке в браузере, а вот
для отмены таких подписок может быть нужно лезть в SMS.
