SLiM у нас нет. Я не берусь сказать, почему конкретно, но (use google)
aen@ упоминал как минимум на форуме, что он не локализуется и уже
не разрабатывается. Мне припоминается, что когда-то заходила речь о том,
что в нем к тому же все довольно грустно с точки зрения безопасности.
Ссылки, к сожалению, не нашел (возможно, это вообще был какой-то
оффлайновый разговор), могу предложить лишь горстку не самых свежих CVE;
и вот еще письмо с отзывом по поводу вменяемости тогдашнего апстрима:

Я бы, конечно, предложил xdm, но для многих (?) может оказаться
блокером бага #25255. Есть еще wdm, но насколько он работоспособен -
сказать не берусь.
