Нет, всё нормально, он встал и завёлся, только вот звука не было, хотя

что приоритет "High Definition Audio Controller" выше, а потому он и
будет по умолчанию.
А закавыка была в том, что у меня видеокарта с HDMI-выходом, и
этот нехороший PulseAudio где-то (не нашёл, где) ставил приоритет
"цифрового стерео (HDMI)" выше, чем "встроенное аудио аналоговое
стерео". В настройках Phonon (Параметры системы ->Мультимедиа) выключил
"High Definition Audio Controller" и звук появился везде, где надо.
