Если потеоретизировать, то есть пара вопросов.
1. Диски в fstab и в конфиге загрузчика прописаны через UUID или как /dev/sda?
Во втором случае диски могли плавно переехать на /dev/hda.
2. Если я правильно помню, то в конфигах можно прописать параметры создания
initrd. Не было ли там задано исключить драйвер который требуется в режиме
Compatible и включить драйвер для ahci?
Других вариантов пока не вижу. Одна дикая экзотика в голову лезет.
