На работе с собственной рабочей машинкой та же проблема - видюха Intel 845G -
с разбегу проапгрейдился бранч4.1 -> бранч5.1. Теперь приходится сидеть на
драйвере vesa и ждать, пока в intel починят. Иначе симптомы таковы: иксы
стартуют, логин в kdm успеваю набрать, даже рабочий стол появляется, но дальше
мертвый вис, клава/мышь не обрабатываются, приходится выключать по кнопке
acpi.
Вобщем, меня лично vesa пока не сильно напрягает (разрешение стандартное
1280х1024, opengl не нужен), поэтому могу и подождать, может и дождусь
неглючного драйвера.
А вот на ноуте с видюхой 865G все отлично работает на драйвере intel.
