Три раза отправлял ответ по теме: 20091218 ALT Linux 5.0.0 Desktop KDE
(фантастическая развертка), но они как в null улетают.
Поэтому напишу еще одно письмо и на этом закончу, чтобы никому мозги не компостировать.
Монитор AL1916W наотрез отказывается устанавливаться в любой "пятерке" со штатным
разрешением матрицы 1440х900. В 4.1 тоже были проблемы, но там все быстро удалось
утрясти и все работает. Из Интернета выудил, что у монитора кривой EDID, но при
попытке вставить "IgnoreEDID"  и Modeline (что сформированный утилитой gtf, что с
помощью videogen) при запуске иксов происходит нарушение синхронизации и иксы
вываливаются. Месяц моей борьбы с этим монитором исчерпали лимит терпения.
Прилагаю свой рабочий конфиг в 4.1 (только ту часть, что относиться к монитору) и
последний неудачный к 5.0. для любопытных. И заклинаю: НЕ ПОКУПАЙТЕ AL1916W!!!
