Здравствуйте!
На моей системе в качестве swap ипользую небольшой swap раздел и файл
/swap. Суммарный объём больше объёма ОЗУ. Своп нужен только для перехода
в спящий режим. Только при попытке перехода выводится сообщение о
недостаточном объёме своп.
Кто-нибудь "засыпал" в swap-файл?

Ядро скорее всего умеет засыпать только в раздел
