Как показали дальнейшие опыты - нет, к сожалению..
Эффект есть при записи алиасов в в конец файла /etc/modprobe.d/aliases
(при условии, что там действительно нет нужного алиаса) и опции модулей
в конец файла /etc/modprobe.d/options.
Вот тогда все работает, как надо..
