Пробовал следующие варианты:
- knotes
- kontact (korganizer)
- egroupware
- egroupware + kontact
В итоге, остановился на бумажке с ручкой на столе.
Потом купил маркерную доску и повесил рядом со столом - теперь пишу туда.
По юзабилити ни одна софтина рядом не валялась :)

Это для конкретного планирования, а хочется иметь что-то более
свободное: некий перечень планов/проектов/задач/каки-то_дел без указания
конкретных сроков, а просто выставить приоритеты.

Под GNOME есть GTG (Getting Things GNOME, по мотивам GTD товарища
Аллена) - по функциональности практически точно соответствует вашему
описанию. Можно ещё приспособить Tomboy/GNotes под это дело, но это по
сути не сильно отличается от вполне физических липких листочков.

Недавно в сизиф закинул консольный task. Рекомендую просмотреть видео

Действительно, гораздо нагляднее. Вот бы к каждой программе прилагался
бы такой ролик на сайте программы (мечты, мечты..).

Его можно приспособить много под что.
Я выделяю ветви-крупные задачи, их дроблю на более мелкие.
Можно пиктограммами выставлять приоритеты 1-9 (мне реально больше 4-5 не
нужны были никогда). Выполненное теми же пиктограммами помечаем
галочкой и периодически переносим в отдельную ветвь, чтобы не мешалось.
Разные крупные задачи еще выделяем в отдельные облака и красим в разные
цвета для наглядности.
Большие комментарии к заданию в тексте внизу пишем.
Очень удобно сделана навигация с клавиатуры -- мыши можно практически не
касаться.
Вот сложные зависимости там не очень удобно обрабатывать -- главный
родитель всегда будет один, а вторичные условия нагромождением стрелок
получаются.
Вот бы аналогичную вещь для веба найти, с возможностью ходить из узлов
по гиперссылкам -- цены бы ей не было.

У меня всё странно, поскольку не соблюдается принцип одной
напоминалки. С другой стороны -- можно сказать, что в каждом
контексте по одной.
Посматривал на разный софт, но прижились:
* remind: периодические события (шлёт почту)
* http://rememberthemilk.com: дежурные списки
* N6230i: напоминалки "на ходу"

Довольно активно использую vim TODO в каталоге проекта
либо ~/work/$PROJECT; подумываю обкатать vim .git/TODO
(алиасом для удобства) на проектах, которые уже в гите.
(здесь есть маленький секрет: сделанное сперва относится
в конец файла под метку ---DONE--- и вычищается периодически
скопом: оказывается, тудушки не так страшны, когда видна
не только гора несделанного, но и куча сделанного :)
Для текущих набросков по кратким, но интенсивным и с вагоном
контекста -- он фиксируется на одноразовом листе A4 (главное
с ними -- или складировать в одном месте, чтоб на всякий можно
было найти, или использовать для таких задач, когда отложив --
искать уже не потребуется, потому как закончено).
Когда манагерил, помогало наличие над столом высокой книжной полки
с задней поверхностью вдоль стенки, куда наклеивались в небольшом
(неудручающем) количестве жёлтые стикеры с текущими заметками по
тому, что из мелочёвки надо купить в следующий раунд доставки
или проверить на стенде. Соответственно как только сделано --
снимались и в мусорник.
Кстати, писать бывает удобней карандашом -- менее чувствителен
к жирным пятнам на бумаге и если тонкий ~ТМ, то есть мнение,
что лучше переживает истирание -- можно ориентироваться по
царапинам на бумаге. Для важного порой берётся тот же тонкий
спиртовой маркер, которым подписываются болванки -- и не
размоется, даже если чай прольёшь, и видно хорошо на фоне
карандаша или ручки.
Вообще low-tech -- это вовсе не так уж плохо, даже наоборот.
Особенно когда свет вырубится или канал ляжет.

Да какой тут юмор, правда жизни, тёзка. :)
Для разных задач бывают хороши разные средства,
вовсе необязательно программные. Даже эмуляция
настоящей периферии, скажем, таблетником --
не совсем то.

Ну если правда жизни, тогда ладно :) А вообще меня интересует именно ПО,
реализующее возможность, как я уже здесь писал, вести некий список, с
выставлением приоритетов и т.п. Не планировщик дел, а что-то более
простое.

Они имеют дурацкую привычку отклеиваться и теряться, поэтому если место
на столе позволяет, удобнее использовать обычные квадратные
белые листочки, на каждый из которых крепится по зажиму для бумаг --
типа металлических скрепок с откидывающимися ушками.
Зажимы нужны обязательно -- для того, чтобы бумажки не улетали при
порывах ветра (из окна, прошел кто-то и т.д.), становились заметнее (не
просто бумажка какая-то непонятная валяется, а уже объект, который
нужен), а также для группировки нескольких листочков, относящихся к
одной задаче. Без зажима же бумажки очень быстро превращаются в ворох
мусора на столе.
Ну и вообще удобнее работать с ними, раскладывать пасьянс, более важные
дела пододвигать ближе, менее важные, убирать подальше.
А самоклейки больше в качестве оповещения для других хороши, или
одноразовых оповещений себе о чем-то действительно важном, а не для
ведения списка дел -- яркие и выделяются от всех остальных бумаг, и
можно приклеить куда угодно.

Я остановился на службе яндекса - Календарь.
Там есть как обычный календарь, так и отдельно можно создавать списки дел.
Для меня удобна доступность и из дома и с работы.

kde4pim-kjots. До этого использовал Basket, но в KDE4 прикрутили к KJots
форматирование.

Когда сидел на КДЕ останавил свой выбор именно на баскете. Сейчас в
гноме пытаюсь найти подобное, но нет, не нахожу. Придется кдешные
программы использовать.
