Да, с HDD быстрее.

Это были ещё не главные разочарования -- как, впрочем,
и не главные очарования. :)
PS возможно, покамест SecureCRT заменит опция панели "Shell link"
в mc (Midnight Commander). Потом привыкнете к шеллу и rsync и
будете удивляться, как так мучались-то раньше и не замечали.
