Нет, конечно.. Хотя его там быть не должно (почему, см. ниже) я все же
проверил.

Только на серверах во время настройки, да и то, через входом в свою
запись и через su -, не напрямую.. Только на этой неделе на базе
школьного сервера настроил 2 сервера.
Склонен подозревать (с), что вы, Дмитрий, не совсем удачно
пошутили.. :-)

Я прекрасно знаю разницу между su и su -, но в данном случае это не
причем. Синаптик запускается посредством consolehelper, который и
занимается запуском графич. приложений от имени root.
