А есть файл mfc:lod ?
В такой форме обращаются к БД по псевдонимам.
Скорее всего псевдоним БД lod не прописан в /etc/firebird/aliases.conf
Или писать <ХОСТ(или IP хоста)>:<полный путь (включая имя файла) к БД>
