У меня этим занимается gkrellm. По крайней мере отслеживает активность
и количество пользователей в системе. ДУмаю, что можно найти к нему
апплет, который будет и ip адрес засекать (если уже такого там нет
встроенного)..

Почему столь категорично? Может какой-то плазмоид с такими функциями на
подходе? :-)
