Тэгов там действительно нет, формат не предназначен для цифровой
дистрибуции звука, а для использовании в качестве дорожки для HD-видео.
Перегнать можно ffmpeg'ом.

Есть довольно широкий класс задач, для решения которых shell подходит не
хуже самого модного скриптового языка.
Есть (моё личное) наблюдение, что большинство программистов не умеет
писать надёжные программы не только на shell, но и на всех языках
программирования, которыми они пользуются.
