"Обычная система" - не показатель. VMWare - то же железо, только
виртуальное, а разные мыши по-разному "летают". Попробуйте в ваших
виртуальных системах установить скорость мыши при помощи xset, например:
xset m 1 0
Дописать это можно, скажем, в /etc/X11/Xsession в разделе ALT default
background and cursor (если run level 5), или в ~/.xinitrc если вы
входите в "графику" посредством startx.
