Это как сказать по русски...
Q. при загрузке live CD 4.x или установке Desktop 4.х выдается ошибка "CDROM
not found". попытка выбрать модуль из предлагаемого списка для загрузки ни к
чему не приводит.
A. Скорее всего загружается "лишний модуль", блокирующий доступ к CD-ROM.
Проблема решается запретом загрузки этого модуля в параметрах загрузки
(строка параметров вводится под меню загрузки) путем указания параметра
noload=имя модуля
Для ноутбука Samsung Q45 и аналогичных систем это модуль ata_piix.
Примерно так. Лучше что-то не формулируется. Но, как мне кажется, причесать
формулировку с целью повышения понятности явно не мешает.
