Разве что у mike@ спрашивать, не завалялся ли у него сей антиквар случайно.
А может что нить по современней попробовать? Например Alt Linux 4 Lite или
подождать когда будет сделан Alt Linux 4 Super Lite?
А можно пойти по иному пути. Взять чистый инсталер:
ftp://ftp.altlinux.ru/pub/beta/desktop/installer-i586-20080207.iso
А потом уже на него накатывать всё что нунжо и, что что тянет ваш ноут?
В таком случае получаем только установленную базовую систему, ну а графику
доставляем по своему вкусу и возможностям вашего ноута.
