Ну, например, у меня есть сеть института, и сеть лаборатории, в которую
включены приборы. На одном коммутаторе, но адресные пространства разные, и
делать одним нельзя -- udp траффик от приборов засрёт всю сеть.
PS: а решал это назначением алиаса в /etc/rc.d/rc.local
попытки объяснить ситуацию etcnet'у, ни к чему позитивному не привели: или
dhcp, или статика.
