Imho :
Теоретически, если нет ошибок в проставленных зависимостях, то
dist-upgrade не обязателен.
Но исходя из того, что на каждые N тысяч строк кода в любой программной
среде находится как-минимум одна ошибка, а репозитории тестируется
именно в срезе одного времени, то dist-upgrade более надёжен.
