Добавляешь ещё 128 -- и можно грузнуть ещё одного терминала
с такого PIII :) После некоторой границы на базовый набор
софта в RAM и дисковый кэш необходимая "прибавка" снижается.
Где-то после полгига, на глаз.

Саш, вылазь из танка -- они работают (жрут диск/проц/память)
на _терминальном сервере_ :) Если угодно -- _сервере приложений_.
А клиенту остаётся картинки рисовать да кнопочки назад кидать :)

Лёгкость настройки бесплатной не выходит. Особенно когда
получается не тулзень как морда для конфига, а куча компонент,
которые между собой производят какой-то обмен и хранят конфиги
в XML. Гибкости тогда больше, но накладных расходов -- тоже.
