Upd.: перманентно запускать иксы получилось с добавлением опции в
xorg.conf:
Option "IgnoreABI" "true"
Тем не менее непонятно, почему такой баг произошёл (причём, видимо,
только у меня?..) и куда делись 300фпсов с прошлого дрова (который
падучий всё равно).
