Эээ... если у Вас старый Radeon, то понятно -- а для новых нужен
именно fglrx, и его удаление никак не поможет. То, что на
Desktop 4.0 вылазит справа снизу "метка" -- объезжается
установкой пакета fglrx-tools.
В бетах 4.0.1 уже исправлено.

Проверил на 4.0 -- сборка stellarium-0.9.0-alt2.2 встала
и заработала. Если когда понадобится -- пишите, соберу
в backports; сейчас останавливаю hasher за ненадобностью.
