service portmap запущен?
См. тж. /etc/sysconfig/portmap -- там НЕ ДОЛЖНО быть опции -l
(local)

Пойду вешать ldv@ багу про идиотскую конфигурацию portmap из
коробки, поскольку на localhost он попросту никому не сдался.
