Помнится, в рассылке проскакивало, что если задать тип
источника как файл (-t 1), и уменьшить число повторов (по умолчанию 6),
то процесс пойдёт быстрее...
Я использую обычно строчку такого типа:
recoverdm -t 1 -i /dev/cdrom -o ~/Cdrom/Max1 -s 6 -n 1
Только что проверил её (строчку!) на хорошем диске, ДВД привод и
в самом деле моргает редко, а индикатор винчестера горит постоянно. Судя
по history запускал recoverdm раз 20, а винчестер до сих пор жив;-)
