Джентельмены,
После обновления (updates + backports), на нескольких машинах наблюдается
падение dbus-daemon. segmentation.
более пристальное рассмотрение выявило, что оно падает в бесконечную рекурсию
в функции _dbus_group_info_free_allocated , со срывом стека и прочими 33
удовольствиями.
Собственно, у кого какие идеи, с учётом, что машины используются серьёзно, и
невозможность нормальной работы... удручает?

Если установлен libavahi из backports/3.0, убедитесь, что свежий.

Тогда что-то другое. С avahi падало из-за того, что
в /etc/dbus-1/system.d/avahi-dbus.conf была указана группа netdev,
отсутствующая в системе. Возможно, что-то схожее. Попробуйте
поубирать оттуда файлы.

Йес! На одной из проблемных машин. всё завелось после замены netdev на
messagebus.
Но на другой, это не помогает.

тогда запускается dbus-daemon, но не стартует avahi-daemon.
И что делать?!
