Это, должно бы убрать 20-секундную задержку клавиатуры перед вводом пароля? (насколько я понял)
Не помогло. Все осталось как было.

Вообще-то в lilo'шном меню клавиатура работает (и работала) сразу. А вот когда KDE показал окно ввода пароля, вот тут-то и приходится ждать 20 секунд.
