Эту тему поднимал я. Тогда вышел из положения так: скачал уже не помню откуда kig, запихнул его в свой локальный репозиторий и установил. И все заработало.
Сейчас так получилось, что пришлось установить ALT 3.0 с нуля, +updates, +backports. В backports же лежит свежий KDE, но работает ли в нем kig еще не проверял. Вечером дома проверю и завтра доложу. Если не работает - буду вспоминать как же это мне удалось.
