в этом файле должно быть примерно слудующее
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=static (или dhcp, если в сети есть dhcp сервер)
IPADDR=10.24.72.3
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
NETWORK=10.24.72.0
BROADCAST=10.24.72.255
ONBOOT=yes
айпи адрес, маска и пр. естественно надо поменять под вашу сеть
P.S. и убейте оутглюк с его ужасным цитированием
