У меня работало через простое PPP-соединение (с palm, впрочем).
На хосте висел dund -s call btpalm
в /etc/ppp/peers/btpalm:
debug
noauth
local
asyncmap 0
idle 1000
noipx
passive
115200
ms-dns 192.168.1.1
172.16.128.1:172.16.128.2
ну и соответственно NAT на хосте.
