У меня сборка от Инфры, и tahoma в интерфейсе выглядит нормально.
То же и в альтовской сборке 1.1.5 из комплекта ALC.

Ну так и у меня тот же самый ALC с X.org. Правда, локаль я поменял
на CP1251.

Да нет в OOo никакой проблемы: у меня же работает.

Опять же маловероятно, т. к. за отображение шрифтов отвечает не gtk, а
та же freetype.
