Э, не. Сгенерированный инсталятором конфиг будет практически
заведомо разный в разных линуксах. Тем более -- сама сборка того
же xorg.
Вот тот первый, что Вы прицепили, у меня вызвал в нескольких
местах удивление, но кто его знает, что там ещё можно/нужно.

Покажите, как/что творится в ALT -- /etc/X11/xorg.conf и
/var/log/Xorg.0.log. (лучше не аттачить всё, а выложить
где -- хоть на pastebin.com -- и забросить ссылку)

У меня на буке Radeon Mobility 7000, под 3.0 никаких проблем не
возникло.
