Мы, по-моему, УЖЕ "кто во что горазд", но...
Видел я (в том числе в магазине) такие "как из магазина" диски.
Быстро восстанавливаешь разделы (хотя бы тем же gpart'ом), и - вуаля!
Смотрим (при желании) чужие фото, письма, логи, пароли, фильмы и т.д.
Так что "как из магазина" - это только и лишь частично, скажем, в mhdd
делать erase, или `dd if=/dev/zero` (хотя и абсолютно разные
вещи). "Частично" - потому что время работы, число включений, запусков
шпинделя есть в S.M.A.R.T.
Так что...
