Ну так с альтом как раз лучше было dist-upgrade, чай, не федора.
С другой стороны, если там 2.4 -- то лучше пусть себе и стоит,
он как серверный до сих пор поддерживается.

В данном случае судьба может быть опытней.

какая версия сейчас стоит и что в ней не устраивает, чтобы
обновлять? Может, и беспокоиться-то не следовало :-)
