Нет, имеется в виду Х-сервер, который может принимать запросы на
отрисовку графических элементов от программы, выполняющейся либо
локально, либо на удаленной машине ...
И для того, чтобы нарисовать окно программы 20х80 вам не нужно рисовать
рабочий стол 1024х768 ...
Экономия трафика налицо, а удобство графических элементов мониторинга
или управления может быть одной из причин боле быстрого перехода с
"одной" операционной системы на "другую" ...
И тогда вам не понадобится искать клиент ssh, так как он уже будет в
дистрибутиве... :)
