Обсуждалось, и даже недавно пробегала ссылка на FAQ, где это
отражено. Два основных недостатка:
-- переключатель отрабатывает, как только обе клавиши нажаты, а не
в момент отжатия одной из них, как в Windows. В результате, если
у нас раскладка висит на Ctrl+Shift, то уже невозможно пользоваться
комбинациями вида Ctrl+Shift+буква -- а это, естественно, львиная
доля всех горячих клавиш в большинстве приложений;
-- Если вслед за переключением раскладки идет заглавная буква (что
бывает довольно часто), то нужно будет отпустить клавишу Shift и нажать
ее вновь, в то время как в Windows достаточно просто задержать палец на
клавише.
