Подскажите какой wine лучше установить, чтоб потом не было проблем ни
с реестром, ни с чем-то другим. Либо пусть проблем будет по-меньше.

Из дистрибутива или из backports для этого дистрибутива.

В дистрибутивном был замечен такой баг: в RTF-боксах отображается
только часть содержимого (первые 1000 символов или около того).
Так что только из backports.

Смотря что собирается запускать. Например Fine Reader 7.0 HE в
целом работает (с некоторыми "особенностями") в родном wine из ALM2.4, в
то время, как в последующих версиях из backport-ов он сначала
устанавливался, но не запускался, а потом и устанавливаться перестал :-(
Так-что сначала поэкспериментируйте, а потом решайте, что больше
подойдет.
